Well, still no crawling, but Addie spends every moment she can standing and walking holding onto furniture. This is a shot of her trying to pull herself up, but she hasn't figured it out yet.
She can, however, circle the coffee table, transition from one object to the next (ottoman to chair, back to ottoman, to coffee table), and bend over to pick up a toy, then come back up. Maybe she really will skip crawling! What an individual!
Not only did our modem die on the day before Labor Day weekend, but so did our AC! The repairmen couldn’t come until Tuesday and it was a very hot weekend! (110 one day). A big thanks to God and our friend Erica, who had a window AC unit we could borrow for Addie’s Room. We kept the house dark and the fans running. We will never take AC for granted again!
We are glad to report that in all aspects we are back up and running again. Hooray!
Here are a few more shots of us with our friends the Bruyninckx family (yes, that is their last name- it’s pronounced Broo-nix). Ron, Joan, Ben, Ellie, and Joan’s sister Liz were great company.
Ellie out-cuted Addie with these fabulous heart-shaped sunglasses. What a little starlet!
Ben showed us how to play in the sand (make dad do all the work and you just play).
Danny Lee shows off new baby Jack. (for those of you who knew Krista Koster before she became Krista Lee, this is her Star Wars lovin' husband and cute new son. Jack's bib says "who's your daddy?")
We can’t believe he is a year old already! We all had a great time celebrating our good friends and neighbors (the Kropf's) son’s first birthday.
The birthday boy shows us how to chill out.
Greg tried to feed Addie away from distractions, but she didn’t want to miss out on the action.
Jim Davis points out the to Micah Scroggins why things kept falling from above. A squirrel in the tree thought it was fun to use us all for target practice.
Isn’t the birthday boy supposed to blow out the candles?
