A Sunday to Remember

No pictures to go with this little story, but we thought it should be shared.

We went off to church on Sunday with Addie in a very cute dress. We get to our Sunday School class and just as we are starting Greg feels something warm and squishy in his hand. A blowout. There was poop on every piece of her clothing and when I went looking for the back-up outfit in the diaper back... uh oh. I blew it. No outfit. So we put her in a pair of pants that was in the diaper bag and a bib. A topless girl at church-- great!

We head out to the car to go home, put the carseat in the car and as we're leaving the parking lot I ask "did you belt her into her carseat?" Whoops! Greg puts the car in park, jumps out, starts belting her in, and she spits up all over herself!

We got home, ran upstairs, changed her head to toe, and back to church we go, just in time for Service. Whew! What a Sunday morning!

The finger game

What do you do with a kid who is teething but too young to hold a teething toy? What if that same kid won't hold a binky in her mouth? Yes folks- a parent's finger works like a charm! Addie will go to town on mommy's finger and coo and gurgle with delight. This picture shows daddy's first attempt. Thankfully Addie is not a finger snob. Daddy thought it was a bit slimy. Posted by Picasa

Being Cute, Getting Big

Everyone keeps telling my parents how big I'm getting! I weigh 15 lbs. now. I hold my head up, can use my hands (mostly just to suck on them), and laugh a lot! I even slept through the night last night!!!! My interactions with people are different too- I know how to react when mommy or daddy play familiar games with me. I am just so great! Posted by Picasa

Addie's Favorite Pastime

If Addie's mouth were just a little bigger, she would be so happy. She spends almost every awake moment trying to put her fist in her mouth. She also produces more drool than we can believe! Yes folks, it's TEETHING! Oh goody goody! Posted by Picasa

Watching Uncle Mike B. on TV

Uncle Mike's team (the Caveliers) were playing the Lakers and I was glued to the TV. Yeah! The best team won! Posted by Picasa

Fun with the Family in Phoenix

We got to go to Phoenix this last weekend and visit Greg's parents, his brother Mark, Mark's wife Jessie, and their kids Ally and Micah. Addie finally got to meet some of her cousins!

Soooo Tired

Addie wouldn't calm down until Greg put her over his leg. Once she fell asleep there, we couldn't bear to move her!

We Are Family

Just because these children are with relatives does not mean they have to like it.

A Girl and Her Shoes

Addie wanted to make sure that her daddy got her shoes on just right. This is a very important thing! Posted by Picasa

All Dressed Up

Addie got to wear her fancy pink dress for church this Sunday. Mommy also put her in a cute hat to hide her spunky hair- and Daddy called her his little Mennonite girl.
