Growing Like a Weed

Here's Scott- about two weeks old. He's next to the Espino's twin boys and they are much bigger than him.
Here's Scott between them NOW. You can't tell completely, but he's actually bigger than them now. And they are more than a month older than him! He is growing like crazy!

Saturday at the Pumpkin Patch

Yeah! Pumpkin patch day! I look forward to this day every year! We had a great time at Lombardi Ranch, especially since we arrived at the same time as our good friends Nate & Ashley (and Jacob) and got to enjoy the patch with them!

Finally a picture of the four of us!
Brother doesn't look too happy, I know.
Here we are with the Murrays! We love them!

Carmel Apple

Mmmm! Let's get a carmel apple! Here's what Addie's first attempt at a carmel apple was like:

"Here honey, take a bite."

"No honey, a BITE."

"Bite into it."
"OK, use your hand to push it towards your face and really BITE."
"OK... we have a lot of carmel there, huh?"

"Does anyone have a wet wipe?"

"Addie, start licking your hand."

Pumpkin Patch Activities

What to do at the pumpkin patch besides pick a pumpkin?
Visit the petting zoo. You can guess what Addie thought about the animals.
Ride the train! It was a nice mommy-daughter activity.

Lock your friends up in jail. Always funny.

Ridin'

Pony ride! What fun!
We think she looks like her mommy here.

Little Old Man

I think this outfit makes Scotty look like a little old man. A CUTE little old man! What a little pumpkin!

Silly Girl!

Guess what we think this picture looks like?
Nice.
I'm Queen of the Mountain!

Addie the Photographer

Greg let Addie try her hand with the camera, and these are the pictures she took. I love them!

Daddy Daughter

Daddy & Addie had a great time at the pumpkin patch.

Here she is asking DADDY (not Mommy) "Can we take these home?" Notice the "please-don't-say-no-or-you'll-break-my-heart" face. He said no. She did just fine. Nice try girlie.

Picking a Pumpkin

Addie had a hard time waiting through all the other activities for the time when we would chooose our pumpkin. She had no specifications for the right one- just about every other pumpkin was picked up and presented to Mommy or Daddy as a good option.

"Can we get this one?" "
Can we get THIS one?"

We did finally choose a great pumpkin, which is now happily residing on our porch.

Laughing

We have found a sure-fire way to make Scott laugh- play with his lips! He does this especially for Greg.
When you move your finger up and down quickly over his lips (like this),

this is what Scott will do!

He's HUGE!

Scott had his two month check up yesterday and got weighed and measured...

He weighed 13.3 lbs! That's in the 83rd percentile!
And his height was in the 95th percentile!
He's humongous!

All the shots went well, especially Addie's flu shot, which she took like a champ! She didn't even flinch- no tears, not even a hint of unhappiness. She just sat there and watched herself getting the needle. She is waaaaay tougher than her mommy.

First Smile

This is the first time we were able to catch Scott smiling with the camera. He actually started smiling a month ago, but it's hard to put him down and get the camera when he's grinning. Hopefully we'll get more of him smiling soon! (and less pictures of him screaming and crying)

Scott- 2 months

We can hardly believe our little man is already two months old!
We see the doctor Monday for weight check and shots, but we can tell you for sure he has grown A LOT and he is a little tank! Check out those thighs!
Chillin' with Daddy.
A RARE moment with him conked out and comfortable.

Poppi & Grammi Meet Scott

Niki's parents came to visit a few weeks ago and finally meet their new grandson. We were so glad they were here! With Scott's colic, he's been a real handful. I was thrilled for the extra help. Of course, it's also fun to have anyone else around who adores your children as much as you do! There was lots of oohing and cuddling, as you can see.
