For All You Addie Fans Out There

To prove that we aren't the only ones who think Addie is precious, here are some pictures that we didn't even take!

Thanks for the pic Nate Scroggins!
Courtesy of Gary

OK, so I took this one. (You can tell, it's not as good as the others).

Off-Roading in the Stroller

When we strolled around the pumpkin patch, it was a little muddy. We were pretty impressed with our stroller's ability to handle some rough terrain.
Even though it's poor little wheels were caked in mud the rest of the day.

Addie's New Boyfriend

Obviously, Addie is looking for love from SOMEBODY...

Is it Mommy?
No.

Daddy?
No.
It's Gary.
After spending the morning together, Addie spent the rest of the day saying "Gary, Gary, Gary."

Watch out Grant, you've got competition!

Humor at the Ranch

Seriously people? Read the cart!
Maybe we'll use this shot for our Christmas card this year.
She's owned him from day one.
Yes folks, she's doing what you think she's doing.

Are we ready for Texas or what?!

Neigh

Finally this city girl gets some up-close time with animals! And horses to boot! Here Addie gets to pet the horse...
We should have read the sign first.
The pony says hello..
And Gary and Niki share a little joke.

Lombardie Ranch

On Saturday, we Spanglers went with our friend and neighbor Gary to Lombardie Ranch. I can't call this place a pumpkin patch, since it's sooo much more. It has been a fall activity I look forward to every year since I used to take my day care kids there. But it is way more fun with your own kid!
I have recently found out that many of my neighbors didn't even know we had this glorious place on the outskirts of town.

And this may have been the most enjoyable year yet. See, if I enjoy something on my own, that's OK, but if someone else enjoys it with me, even better! Gary was new to Lombardies, and did NOT dissapoint with his enthusiasm. (He also served as our family photographer all morning). Thanks Gary!!!

Can you believe this picture hasn't been touched up one bit?! It was a perfect day for pumpkins!

Be warned: between Gary, Greg and I, we took about a million and one pictures. You are about to experience A LOT of pumpkin patch pictures.

Did you miss me?

Sorry it's been awhile since mommy blogged.
I've been sick for the last few weeks and mom's been busy with some stuff at church.
We'll try to do better.

Bedroom Before & Afters

Yeah! We finally got the bedroom makeover finished so that we could take some "after" photos for our viewing public (that's you).

Here is the bedroom before (dominated by the netting, sorry)...

And the bed before we started on it.

And HERE it is now!

We are thrilled with our budget makeover and our new room.
We especially love:
-The silhoutte picture of Addie above the lamp
-the lamps, with their push button on/off at the base (it's the little things)
-the new duvet cover (thanks mom & Kim for the birthday cash to buy it!)
-the BED!
-the Euro pillows (so comfy for reading in bed!)
And...

our new monnogrammed pillow, a birthday gift to Niki from the Murrays.

give us your feedback- what do you think?

The Dresser

Here is the dresser before...

And here it is after.

We painted it and cleared off some of the excess clutter.
I also bought those oval frames, but haven't figured out what to put in them yet.

Nightstands

Here is a look at what the nightstands and lamps were before...

And here they are now!

The mismatched set has now become *almost* matching.
We also replaced the old lamps with these milk glass lamps, which I inherited from my grandmother, and we painted to match the room.
We are also enjoying the big euro pillows, which I made covers for out of the fabric from the old headboard.
