Seattle Pt. 5
Seattle Pt.4
Seattle Pt.3
Seattle Trip Pt.2
Seattle Trip Pt.1
We all took our first airplane ride up to Seattle for a nice weekend with Niki’s family in September. Addie did better than we expected on the plane and we didn’t have to apologize to the plane load of people upon departure, which is what Niki expected.
Grammi & Poppi couldn’t get enough of the granddaughter and spoiled her rotten.
A Welcome Back Word From Addie
Hello everyone! I’m back after a long break from blogging. My parents had an awful time getting their router/modem replaced but it is finally fixed. You all missed a month of good times with me and I am ready to catch you up.
I have been having a lot of fun and doing some exciting new things! I will tell you about each adventure in a separate blog post with pictures.
As far as health goes, I had been doing well until the last week or so. My medication for reflux was doing the trick and I was a chipper, happy little cutie pie. Last week I started not feeling so great again and was under-slept and cranky, but mom has been talking with the doctor and I should be feeling better again soon (I get more of my medicine now).
Hope you enjoy all these new posts! Love to you all!

Internet issues...still unresolved.
Our apologies to all who frequest this site. We still have internet issues, or at least our ability to connect is still "out-of order."
Here is a brief reprise of what has happened.
Sept. 1- Our SBC/ AT&T DSL modem-router-wireless gateway crashes
Sept. 5- After discovering that a replacement from AT&T costs $110+tax, I order one from an online merchant for $40. Gearxs.com.
Sept.12- "New" modem/router arrives
Sept. 13-16- "New" modem works intermittently, I try AT&T tech support and user groups to get help.
Sept.17- Buy new power supply for "New" modem. Other people tried this solution with success. No success. Call AT&T tech support, they send out a tech.
Sept. 18 - AT&T tech says "Something's wrong with your modem...nothing I can do, that will be $60." No kidding.
Sept. 19 - Submit a return request for replacement merchandise. Ship modem to Indiana FedEx ground.
Sept 27- FedEx tracking indicates package is delivered.
Sept 29- Gearxs.com "returned item received"
Oct 2-3- Gearxs.com offices closed in observance of Yom Kippur.
Oct 4- **Deep Sigh** Wondering if we will ever cruise the internet superhighway again. Feeling like the poor people on the side of the road with an overheated junker, waith for the tow-truck to arrive.
Oct 5 - Called and ACTUALLY got someone. Lady said that return will be processed today. Really? I wonder...
When we're back, we'll flood ya with stuff.
We love you all,
Greg and Niki- waiting on the the internet sidelines next to a clunky modem with a blown gasket...sort of.

Progress
Well, still no crawling, but Addie spends every moment she can standing and walking holding onto furniture. This is a shot of her trying to pull herself up, but she hasn't figured it out yet.
She can, however, circle the coffee table, transition from one object to the next (ottoman to chair, back to ottoman, to coffee table), and bend over to pick up a toy, then come back up. Maybe she really will skip crawling! What an individual!
What A Weekend!
Not only did our modem die on the day before Labor Day weekend, but so did our AC! The repairmen couldn’t come until Tuesday and it was a very hot weekend! (110 one day). A big thanks to God and our friend Erica, who had a window AC unit we could borrow for Addie’s Room. We kept the house dark and the fans running. We will never take AC for granted again!
We are glad to report that in all aspects we are back up and running again. Hooray!
Labor Day at the Beach- Pt. 1
A great way to escape the heat of the valley on Labor Day- we escaped to Ventura!
Addie got the sand in her toes and we helped her experience the waves. She liked it- but it was cold!
Addie gets a lesson about shadows.
As you can see, she is walking with parental assistance. In fact, that’s all she wants to do now!
Labor Day at the Beach- Pt. 2
Here are a few more shots of us with our friends the Bruyninckx family (yes, that is their last name- it’s pronounced Broo-nix). Ron, Joan, Ben, Ellie, and Joan’s sister Liz were great company.
Ellie out-cuted Addie with these fabulous heart-shaped sunglasses. What a little starlet!
Ben showed us how to play in the sand (make dad do all the work and you just play).
