Pool Time
Early Mornings and Anniversary
Scotty has a terrible habit of waking EARLY in the morning. The other morning he awoke at 4 something and my dear husband got him up and took him downstairs. When I came down later I found them like this- cuddled together and asleep on the livingroom floor.
In other news, Greg and I celebrated our NINTH anniversary last week. Can you believe it?! We went out to dinner at Le Chene, a local french restaurant, then came home to enjoy dessert and a movie on Greg's new ITouch. I totally surprised him with it, and his excitement over it was my favorite part of the anniversary! We had such a great night reflecting on God's grace to us over these nine years and how much has changed in that time. Though it doesn't sound like such an exciting night, everything was so enjoyable, and we both thought it was one of our best anniversaries ever.

Last Day of Ballet
Addie finished up her ballet class this last week.
We were glad to have had the experience, but probably this will be Addie's only time in ballet. She did fine, and we were glad to see that she tried hard and listened to the teacher, but after the initial curiosity wore off, she wasn't so in love with it.
For the last class, Greg joined us to see what Addie had learned.
Like playing on the barre...
And showing great enthusiasm.
Seriously though, she did a good job.
We went out to lunch to celebrate the last class- to Corner Bakery, the only place in town we could find that serves her favorite food- tomato soup! She also got a new "June" doll!
Next up: swim lessons!
Worms
Some of our neighbors have little boys the same age as Addie, and they were going to do this cool experiment involving worms in a jar. I thought it might be fun for us to do it too! So we got the jar all ready, got the worms, and Addie was all ready to go. Here's what happened:
Mom: Are you ready?
Addie: Yes!
Mom: Let's put those worms in the jar!
Mom: OK, reach in and get a worm!"
Addie: I don't like how it feels! (whining...)
Addie: (screeching...) Eeew! Eeew! Eeew! I don't want to touch it!!!!!
(after several prompts that were met with more screaming)
Mom: Calm down, you don't have to touch it
mom laughs so hard she can barely take pictures, dad learns what it is to have a little GIRL
Yay! Daddy will hold the worm for me!
