Wanted to share some of the highlights of our homeschooling adventures since the start of the year.
Returning home from Christmas, having just visited the aquarium, and we jumped into Ocean Week! Loved it! Here's our "Under the Sea" dinner- hot dogs made to be octopi (sp?), shell noodles with cheese, and cauliflower, also known as a coral reef. :)
Insect week brought an ant farm into our home. I was horrified at first by purposefully putting ants in my kitchen, but it ended up being fascinating. Even though we ended up watering wrong and killing most of our ants, it was still fascinating. Can you believe they choose to forgo building tunnels so they could bury all their dead? I kid you not!
Also for insect week, ants on a log for snack and ladybug tattoos!
And some of her best work so far- writing out insect names and drawing pictures to go with. I thought her grasshopper was the best!
