Newhall Parade on the Fourth of July

The latest blog silence is mostly due to the fact that we were too busy having fun with Niki's cousin Julie last week to sit down at the computer. Julie was down visiting from Washington, and gave us the excuse to go act like tourists. We went to Pink's hot dogs again on Tuesday, then the Huntington gardens on Wednesday, a big new thrift store on Thursday, and finally, on Friday, it was the 4th!

We started out the day by going to Newhall's parade. Several families from our apartment complex went too, and we realized that all of us going down the street looked like another parade! Here we are, getting ready to go.
"Daaaaad, do you have to take my picture right now? I'm HOT"
"Mmmmm- licorice in the morning!"
Here a few of us enjoy our shady spot in front of the local bridal store. Some of the other families/spouses/kids aren't pictured because they wanted to be closer to the parade (in the sun).
